ACAM Governance & Leadership
This project was completed with financial support from United Way Winnipeg’s Organizational Development Grant. The grant was used to hire the services of a consultant to focus on improvements to the processes and structures of the organization.
This was accomplished through the development and revision of the ACAM’s constitution, bylaws, policies and procedures. Other documents developed included the volunteer manual, Board manual, HR policy & procedures and programs manual. The funding therefore advanced capacity building efforts to help ACAM enhance its organizational effectiveness to align with federal and provincial legislation.
Purchase of Equipment
ANGLOPHONE CAMEROON ASSOCIATION OF MANITOBA (ACAM) Inc. is proud to announce that they are happy recipients of the Assiniboine Credit Union (ACU) Community Grants and Sponsorships Award. The funds received will go towards equipment purchases for our community organization.
The equipment will provide office essentials for the day-to-day operations, positive activities for kids and youth, and material for community meetings and gatherings. ACU believes in the development of healthy, vibrant, and diverse communities. ACAM heartily thank you ACU for this support and partnership.
Emergency Community Support Food Assistance
With support from the Federal Government sponsored Emergency Community Support Fund, ACAM is currently running a Food/Grocery Delivery Assistance program to benefit its vulnerable community members who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
ACAM plans to run this program for two months where basic essential food items specific to the community needs such as rice, beans, eggs, vegetable oil, canned products etc. will be distributed to affected members.
Strategic Planning
With the professional development support provided by Mark=1T Consulting Firm ACAM will develop a Strategic Plan for the Association.
This document will act as a guide to the organization, setting out a clear vision, mission statement, and direct the organization’s vision in the short term and long term.
